great track i just LOVE the singer - his voice and presentation remind me of Robert Smith from the Cure.
maybe i would change the synth's voice starting at 0:24 (sounds a little bit kitschy to me).
dark and retro. what more can you ask for?

Yes, Eric has such new voices now and better synths we just have so much new stuff sometimes it's hard to go back (we've wasted years doing just that!!)
Marv will love that you hear Robert Smith thats his all time fav.
I hope to have some *NEW* stuff up real soon this one is so old but hey its new to alot of peeps!

Agree with everyone else - the singer is great I also like how the drums sort of connect in each measure, it has a solid feel.
Great job!

This does have a feeling that reminds me of Pink Floyd which is pretty cool.
That track has some pretty trippy lyrics that touch on a core emotion that works even better on the 2nd listen.
The recording quality is excellent and it has some excellent atmospheric sounds. I'm not surprised to hear its been played on radio. Great song

I'm not really diggin the corny synth sounds... sounds way too 80s for my liking. I do like the pink floyd elements though.

I really dig the new wave thing that's going on here. Reminds me as much of The Pixies as The Cure. Another great Empire Day tune!

when i hear this a small movie plays in my head: A man wakes up in a ditch with empty pockets.. he realises something's wrong and starts to run as the drums kick in he's seen kicking down a door where he's presented with an 'empty room' where he sits in the corner.. with no clue where his *enter prized possession* has gone.
Just me?
Great track again, love the lyrics.

This is awesome!!! Keyboards are fantastic.
I especially like the 'Aaaaaawwwhhhhoooo' sound.
The vocal melody is a bit Robert Smith, but it sounds more like the guy from Tears For Fears.
This is a really terrific track!!!!!!
